fighting insomnia....

instead of going over everything i thought about last night while trying to fall asleep, i will give you all a glimpse into my matinal world of REM (i would say nocturnal, but most of this happens in the morning).

11 july 2002

three parts, unrelated. One i was with lisa trying to find this underground pool in chicago - you had to get to it through this movie theater, but for some reason we could not get through. the second part, i am at camp Timber Lee (a christian camp) in one of the cabins. it is actually a huge luxury cabin. and i was with these girls (my age) and for some reason we just could not find a place for me to sleep so i screamed, "DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN HEAR ME?" or something like that. the third part is another mariano dream - that he was here at my house visiting me, except the whole time he was playing games with a bunch of kids in the back pasture. whenever i have dreams about/with him, he's always there but i can never see him.

oops sorry, that one was kind of boring - i opened up to a random page in my dream journal. here's another.

21 february 2003 - bus, salta to buenos aires.

i dreamed that they were going to make a new zoo near new york and that all the animals arrived by train. something with the train, like it fell out of the sky, so they gave up the zoo project. and all this was near my house. so i am standing in the foyer and the front door is open, and the house is somehow in the sky and i see flocks of birds flying around it. there were tons of birds. then i look down and see below me writhing in its train car, which has sunk ingo green stuff (swamp iguess), an elephant or perhaps it was a long-necked dinosaur. then i am with my mom and a group of people, and we're flying in a circle. my mom is saying something about humming birds, how if you hold a barrette just right it makes the sound that they make. all the while my mom is chirping, "humming bird!" and i'm holding a barrette, but it's not making any noise. we continue flying in circles until we touch ground (swampy marshy ground with soft grasses) and then we run and i don't remember anymore.

keep in mind, on 22-hour bus trips i am drugged half the time...
