easily amusing bathroom humor

i am so excited!

i am pleased to say that i have finally found the one. i have waited FOREVER! and am so ready to make a commitment.

this one has everything i have been looking for: a cute male protagonist. an adorable little boy. a rich, scheming hija de puta. a poor but pretty female protagonist. a family business to be taken over. it does NOT take place in miami. and new chapters every day!

if you haven't yet guessed, i love telenovelas. but only if they have good looking people in them. ever since i took a course at Universidad de Buenos Aires about argentine television and the only grade in the class was a twenty page monography about melodrama in a current novela (the assignment was to watch one throughout the semester and evaluate it), i have loved to watch them. watching them reminds me of when i was there. i managed to get an 8 in the class (out of 10).

i love how they are real people. and i love that the novelas actually end. and usually with multiple weddings. it just makes me feel, for an hour, that i am somewhere other than here. somewhere where they have public transportation and cheap taxis and good restaurants and cool bars. anyway.

i have just spent ten minutes playing with "noise putty" making fart noises and grunting and laughing my head off. why is it so pleasing to me? i can just see myself bringing this thing to work; when things are getting stressful i just flip the lid and play with stuff and instantly feel better. why is it so soooooothing?????

i guess i'm easily amused. speaking of fart noises, have i ever mentioned how hard it is to keep a straight face when a child farts in class?
