qu'est-ce que vous voulez faire?

this is going to be short and sweet.

tuesday i went out to D's, a bar/club that's open till four AM (yeah, on a tuesday!) CC got us in for free and we sat at our table and watched/made fun of people all night. i didn't do any dancing because frankly i didn't feel like it. i had one appletini.

then, the waitress comes over and informs that "that guy over there with the white collar" would like to buy us a round of drinks. So CC of course accepts (how can one turn down free alcohol?) but we're not exactly clear on who has bought us this round of drinks. i look at the guys in the general direction to which the waitress signaled. no hot ones. there is one in a white collar, and he is rat-looking. and i'm thinking oh god, accepting drinks means we'll have to talk to him. ugh. fortunately when he finally makes his way over to our table he sits next to CC and chats her up. i see his hand go around CC's shoulder and start touching her. she's like SAVE ME! so i start making stuff up and talking in spanish. CC then goes to the bathroom. i am then by default forced into conversation with rat-boy. he asks what i do which naturally leads to the revelation that i'm fluent in spanish. what are the odds, he is cuban. dios mio! so i tolerate him for the next few minutes, and his buddies come over. he then goes to dance with one of our friends.

the buddies are canadian, and here only this week for business. not very interesting either of them from what i could tell, but it was really loud so i didn't get a good impression. they were nice enough to stay with me while i sobered up (because CC kept buying me shots! ick!) then one invited me to "go for a walk" the next day. i skirted the issue. then we all exited together and they asked if there were any other good places to go out. i mentioned Bamboo, and they said they'd heard of it and would probably go thurs, would i like to? so i was like, sure, maybe, so i gave them my phone number. the one guy called me and left a message the next day. i didn't even listen to it all the way through, though i did save it. i mean, really, what's the point? i'm at home chillaxing in the 90-plus degree water of my pool. who could could ask for more?

oh and another thing - i'm giving up alcomohol for a while. i think with the meds it will always give me a headache and i am tired of headaches.
