nancy pelosi, you're my hero!
"stay the course is not a STRATEGY, it's a SLOGAN!"
what i have noticed while watching CSPAN (the few times that i have):
dems seem to be more passionate about what they're saying, while republicans seem to be parrots who constantly repeat dubya's catch-phrases. they have this amazing talent for talking continually while saying as very little as possible. there is usually no meaning to their words! i had more mental questions while listening to the republicans than to the dems.
am i just sticking my head up my ass and not listening to republicans because dubya is a republican and i dislike him extremely?
because while the republican was talking, i had so many questions: what does "success" mean? you've told us what the RESULTS of success in iraq might be, but you haven't told us what, in fact, success actually means!
it is completely frustrating listening to them!
nancy and durbs i have watched on CSPAN. they seem to really know what they are talking about. it's like being in a job interview for a job you are truly passionate about, you don't need notes or to look at your resume to talk about it! you just know!
and i heard senator dick durbin on the ed schultz show yesterday, and he made a good argument for supporting more money for iraq: if i'm going to send a kid over there, i want to make sure he will have the resources to come back safely. because he had mentioned that he voted for more money for the iraq cause, i flinched a little WHAT?! but then what he said made sense. you can "support the troops" (pardon my use of a catchphrase/slogan) while still being against the war.
