(un)closeted geek

so i was going to have my template all cool and stuff, and i'm sure i'm not the only person with this idea in my head, but i want to be able to "go back in time" to the next oldest series of posts simply by clicking on the little buttons i made!

seriously, is that really too much to ask? for some reason i won't switch to blogger beta, perhaps because i've been finding a bunch of code and copying it into my template to make it do cool things (click on the button below, or click on the "comments" and see what happens!

so i suppose i will just have to save my template and back it up along with all the changes i've made, then "see what happens" if/when i switch to beta. is there any reason that i should make the switch? i've got something in the template code that says "widget" (you can see it yourself) and i've noticed that beta blogs have that little thingy in them...

i guess i'll have to take the initiative and find out WHY i should care.
