a year from now let's be laughing together

On the radio this morning, this was declared as the sure-fire can't miss pick up line that works every time - apparently proven by scientists in Tokyo or something. I have to admit, it is a pretty sweet line, unless you're a creep and i am more intelliegent than you and can see right through your bullshit. the "a year from now" implies that the one who uses the line is interested in more than a one night stand, and the "laughing together" implies some kind of bond between the two people. I can't say anyone has ever used it on me, but now that it has been revealed, don't even try it because i'll see right through it.

all i can say is puto Ohio.

the only comfort i can find is in this canadian's blog that i read the other day. this person said that he/she hoped bush would win, so that all the repercussions of all the shitty things he's done would fall on HIM and not on John Kerry. for my part, i am so depressed right now i think that come june i am leaving the country for the next four years. USA you have broken my heart and I am so enraged by the rampant stupidity that exists in this country that i feel that any contributions i could make would be washed out by the popular retardation. i know it is unpatriotic of me to say this but you have lost a daughter.

let's not forget i am depressed for more reasons than this, and i tend to be a bit dramatic and tragic when i am depressed. but hey, i was looking for an excuse to go to Chile or Argentina for an extended amount of time; why not this?
