it's only wednesday?!

to whichever SUV-driving asshole was tailing me all the way home last night so that his lights were right in my face:

do you realize how fricking bright your lights are? just wait till i am in charge - i'm going to tax the hell out of and make it severely inconvenient for you to drive your space-wasting, gas-guzzling, road-destroying-making-it-difficult-for-those-of-us-who-drive-cars-half-your-size vehicles.

though my dad is a republican, i do agree with him that people who drive larger vehicles (like SUVs) are responsible for more damage (and therefore more incurred expenses) to public roads and highways and should pay more than us normal people. that's why i've always been willing to pay more for gas - keep it expensive so that people will think twice about buying vehicles that get less MPG. but hey, if there could be a special larger vehicle license, or some kind of special tax or something they could put on larger vehicles, not everybody would have to suffer.

plus it is freaking annoying when one of those pricks in a hummer is right behind you - the headlights seriously are right at the level of your eyes! why are our cars getting bigger and bigger? are we as a society just getting fatter? or is it that we're just making so much money while neglecting our free time (ie, not taking enough vacations) that the only worthwhile investment we see and can possibly make is in our large, expensive vehicles???
