it's finally officially spring

i am kind of surprised that my aunt has fast internet. i'm not sure what kind it is but since i have dialup at home (slow internet) anything besides is fast.

i am on spring break right now in north carolina. it's not really much of a vacation destination where i am, but i am visiting people. right now i'm at my aunt's house and then wednesday i'll move over to my friend lauren's place. my mom is supposed to show up too on tuesday, but she is driving out here (i don't know why though, she drives a monster truck and gas is so expensive. she said it was so she could go antiqueing.)

my aunt keeps offering to drive me places because she thinks i am bored. that is kind of my mission! well, not really to be bored. i find it kind of difficult to be bored in a new place. i am enjoying the warm weather and the quiet (my cousins are on spring break in florida). plus catching up on the blogs to which i am addicted is keeping me entertained. as you may be able to see, i've hardly had any thought cross my mind. which is precisely the definition of a vacation, right? i did bring a few books. those are waiting for me still packed in my bag.

ok just an update, more later, though about what? we'll find out.
