well i think i can cross raleigh off my list of places-i-could-live. there are no straight roads and there are too many trees. ha that sounds bad. what i mean is, you drive like two miles and it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere again. everywhere you drive seems far and it is very small as far as cities go. i did spend my last night in wilmington, NC (of dawson's creek fame) and that was really cute, so many bars and cafes; i bet it's really nice in the summertime. for the last two days i was at Topsail Island, which is about three hours east of raleigh. my friend's mom has a condo right on the beach. i was fascinated by the beach houses on this island, they looked like giant doll houses. i could see myself having one someday and going out there for summers - IF i could have one of the doll house houses. i was just awed by the two and three story balconies.
