one bright star

one bright star in my day though;

today was my first day back at my real job - no kids today because classes start tomorrow. but we did have a staff meeting with TheNewPrincipal. i went to my mailbox and found inside a copy of my letter that was published last week. on it was a yellow post-it:

Very articulate letter! You must have had a great 8th grade English teacher!

the new principal was in fact my eigth grade english teacher. i can't believe she remembers me. that's the funny thing about working in the school district in which you were schooled - seeing your old teachers.
