gloom, doom, and bread crumbs

last night i went to bed hoping i wouldn't be waking in the morning to the beginning of the third world war. (aside: have i been seduced by the president of iran by his 60 minutes interview? i'm making more sense of what he says than of what bush says. maybe it's because he challenged him to a debate. isn't that the diplomatic way of figuring things out? he would kick bush's ass, as would my grandma)

fortunately i was awoken by thunder and lightning, stormy spinoffs from antonio.

but the administration has gone back to the rhetoric of gloom, doom, and bread crumbs (thanks to ms. rhodes' comment on the slogan that if we "cut and run" the terrorists will follow us here - what, are we gonna be leavin' a trail of bread crumbs for them?) haven't we had e-fucking-nough of this crap? doesn't it sound oh-so familiar?

and i am beginning to believe even more strongly that rummy is a full-fledged-conscience-less SOCIOPATH.

thankfully, an i-don't-know-what-to-call-him tv personality tore rummy's speech to bits. watch it; it's awesome. here's the text.

here's a link that has text of the now infamous speech. (and the "official" defense department version... compare them if you like - i haven't yet)

if anyone on the network that is the "propaganda arm" (you know what i'm talking about) follows suit, i just might lose my head in extasy.
