i'm a little annoyed with the "blank is the new blank" expressions. but for the sake of exorcising my annoyances with them, i've decided to list some that i've heard since i began to notice them.

• fat is the new tobacco (heard on the today show this morning)


• brown is the new black


• pink is the new black (but not anymore)


• yaris is the new SUV
  
• sexy is the new scary

so i'll add to this later. admittedly i didn't have a lot of material for this, but the "fat is the new tobacco" really put me over the edge!
