reflection on learning

here is something i've noticed and begun to question:

am i really intelligent in the way i expose myself to new information, or am i just a cocky little bitch?

for instance, i'm reading this study guide for these education tests i have to take at the beginning of august. i read the sections on human development and questioned their validity towards education. in other words, i didn't just take notes about what these theories said - i actually wondered if they hadn't been debunked and if they were no longer relevant to education.

also, quite a few of them seem to go along the lines of cognitive development (ie, bloom's taxonomy).

maybe it's a mix of both. i think i am a little cocky when it comes to learning. i'm a bitch.
