the first friday

it still hasn't hit me that today is actually friday. it doesn't really feel like a weekend. either i am very worn out or not worn out at all. i am having the same thought now as i had on wednesday as i was driving home from french - i don't really feel like doing anything, and i am absolutely fine with that. besides the state of my room is atrocious so i could definitely spend some (more) quality time organizing/throwing things away/paying bills.

i know i've been a bit of a boring blog this week. i have been trying to get back into the routine of working out three times a week (tues, thurs, sat) and also going to class, so my evenings typically start at about 20:00 or 20:30. and not that i have a routine, but it does take me a while to wind down before i go to sleep. i love to read before i go to bed. and also catch up on blogs/IM with people, so that takes me up till about 22 or 23. of course i finally get into bed and i still want to read. it's not that i'm not tired, just the desire to read is stronger than that to fall asleep.

i guess i'm just trying to find my bearings once again this week. next week i will get started on the teaching thing - i would like to ask TheNewPrincipal if it would be OK for me to request to sub at the high school for spanish or physics classes occasionally, as those would be my areas of expertise. just to see how i like teaching physics to an actual class - i'm fine working with an individual student, whose needs i can address; but a whole class... i'm sure i could do it. if i spent a couple of days subbing in a first grade class, i could definitely handle a physics class - at least most of the kids in there read at a sixth grade level! (har)

so maybe tonight i will have a nice bed in my own sparkling clean room to sleep in. otherwise it would be just a regular bed in my own dumpy dirty room. have to get on that... i've been putting it off for weeks.

and when i'm done with that, or taking a brake, i'll select one of my ideas from earlier this week and post a list of ten... we'll see.

it sounds like a plan.
