no hay razonamiento

con los niños no hay razonamiento; si desobedecen hay que quitarles sus privilegios y listo.

that´s what i thought at about 4:30 this morning.

a friend of mine (an ex, to be exact) had a party at this place and invited me so i went, having nothing else to do and needing to get out and socialize. believe it or not i ended up having fun. i met a bunch of his work buddies (girls and boys) and they were really cool. bought a 10 carton of cigs (for the first time ever and it was two pesos) - remember i´m a social smoker, and yesterday i was depressed so i had to choose between vicodin, alcohol, or cigarettes. so i chose the lesser evil. besides, i might need the vicodin later.

anyway, my friend and i maintain a pretty good friendship. last time i was here we went out a bit, did a little bit of telho (only those in the know know what i´m talking about) for old times sake (and i was reminded why i didn´t stay with him!) we went out on monday. it was fun, he´s a lot of fun to hang out with but monday i just wasn´t feeling very flirty or like i wanted to "do anything" in that sense.

so at the party, we talked a bit and i figured well maybe i´d like to "do something" after the party. so when he took my hand and said vamos? i said ok. oh wait, except he had to say goodbye to his friends. there were these two girls that were talking to him for a long time. i ended up sitting down because he was taking forever. oh and mind you i´m sitting like seven feet from where he´s talking to these girls. anyway i´m observing the scene and then he´s making out with one of the girls.

so that´s when i thought, there´s no arguing, there´s no reasoning because boys a lot of times think they´re right. arguing doesn´t work with them. so you just take away the privilidges.

and with that, i put on my cardigan and walked down the stairs.

(thought about getting a cab right there and just disappearing, but because it was his birthday i didn´t want to be mean. but anyway i did go home shortly after that. and no, i didn´t "do anything.")
