twenty one weeks

damnit. everytime i try to reprogram the universal remote for my tv, it requires me to press the power button repeatedly until the tv turns on. i have to go through this procedure at least seven times every time i accidentally roll over onto my remote. the reason i have to keep doing this is because my thumb is programmed to keep pressing the button over and over, but my reaction time usually isn't as fast as the interval between thumb presses, so it gets pressed a few extra times after the tv has turned on once again.

same damn thing happens with my phone! ugh i am so pissed right now. i hear my phone ring, run for it b/c i think it's *someone special* and before i am able to react to what the caller ID says i'm holding my phone in my hand, open (which means i've inadvertently answered the call), mouth likewise open in horror, feeling obligated to say something, so i grit my teeth and say, hello? of course i could have just closed the phone, but that's rude. not that i care wether i'm rude to that caller, but i'm just not rude. besides he would probably call back thinking i had just dropped the phone or something.

anyway i mentioned my boyfriend and i guess guys get jealous or something, but he accused me of using "attitude" with him. so after a couple seconds of this bullshit, i decide i've had enough so i very firmly tell him, DO NOT MAKE FUN OF ME! (he was making fun of the fact that i mentioned my boyfriend was caleño) and finally i said, listen, i am tired of this conversation, so i'm gonna hang up now. goodbye.

of course i could have just closed the phone and thus ended the call, but that's just rude.

i think i should assign a special ringer to that *someone* so i know when, and when not, to answer my phone.




ps, twenty one weeks is how far along my sister is.
