perspective

miss e did not give much thought to the "madrid model ban" until this week... i finally got around to reading the october and november versions of vogue and w. in it i saw a general shun of the model ban.

miss e, after finding further information, would shun the ban as well. i finally found some "dimensions" which qualify and disqualify models from the
bbc

UN health experts recommend a BMI of between 18.5 and about 25, and some models may fall well below the minimum.

The Spanish Association of Fashion Designers has decided to ban models who have a BMI of less than 18.

in other words, miss e would have been banned from participating as well. (being generous by adding 0.25 inch to my height and maybe 1-2 lbs to my weight, i come up with a bmi of 17.8) and y'all know i am NORMAL i don't do ANYTHING to make myself this way - w or vogue had quoted a designer (i think it was dvf but might very well be wrong) who said something to the tune of, some girls are just THIN!

just because i'm thin, does that make me unhealthy? why don't you ask my doctor. i'm a lot healthier than people at the other end of the spectrum.
